The KCYPE started in1980 as the Keith Larson Percussion Studio Ensemble. Five years ago, it opened up to any qualified school age percussionist. The ensembles run September-April and perform two major concerts per year (December and April). We also perform at various percussion conferences, with university ensembles, and other community events. There is also a select keyboard percussion ensemble that performs Christmas Music during the holiday season. Alumni from the ensemble have gone on to attend the finest colleges / universities, perform with professional symphny orchestras, perform with United States military bands, teach at the elementary, secondary, college levels, and are succesful in many more professions both in and out of music.
