The KCYPE rehearses Sunday late afternoon / evenings from the end of August to early April. The ensemble performs 2 main concerts per year, plus some additional touring and performances throughout the year. The Ensemble in recent years has performed joint concerts with various colleges and universities and is presenting the featured concert for the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy in Norman Oklahoma May 20, 2013.The ensemble works on a wide variety of music styles including classic percussion ensemble literature, ethnic music from around the world, and mallet ensemble transcriptions.
